Turn fresh extras into nearby pickups.

Salo helps your shop share fresh extras and good local finds with people nearby before they go unused. Your items stay in your shop until pickup — nothing to install, no separate fulfillment setup, and every listing is clearly labeled with condition, pickup window, and use guidance.

You control item details, quantity, price, and pickup window. Pilot terms after the first 10 completed pickups are discussed directly with each founding merchant — nothing goes live without your say.

How it works for shops

From extra stock to extra sales.

  1. Share what's available

Post fresh extras or good local finds before the day ends — extras are a normal part of running a good shop.

  2. Set the details

You set the item, condition, use guidance, quantity, price, and pickup window. Nothing goes live without your say.

  3. Nearby customers discover it

When pilot reservations open in the Salo app, your Drop reaches people nearby who want to support local shops.

  4. Confirm completed pickups

Customers pick up from your shop during the window you set. Hand the item over and mark the pickup completed.

You stay in control.

Every part of a Salo Drop is yours to decide. Your products never leave your shop until a customer picks them up, and nothing is listed without your confirmation.

  • Item name & photo
  • Condition
  • Use guidance
  • Pickup window
  • Quantity
  • Price
  • Whether it's listed

What belongs on the board?

A good fit
  • Fresh extras from today's baking or prep
  • Display-ready flowers and arrangements
  • Daily goods and pantry staples
  • Small-batch and handcrafted items
  • Good local finds that are still good and useful
Not for Salo
  • Expired or unsafe items
  • Damaged or unusable items
  • Listings that don't match the actual item
  • Items that can't be picked up within the stated window

The rule of thumb: only list items you're comfortable offering to paying customers. Clear labeling protects your shop's reputation as much as it protects the customer.

Extras are normal business.

Good shops end the day with extras — that's what stocking a full display looks like, not a mistake. Salo exists to give that good work another window, never to judge it. Clear condition, pickup window, and use guidance protect both your shop and your customer — and you stay in control the whole way.
